Lucas Larson, who has been in the hospital since his father, Brad Larson, 62, was found dead on Nov. 2 at a home at 78 Deerfield Road, is set to face the murder charge in Norfolk Superior Court on Friday afternoon, Feb. 2.
At the time of Brad Larson’s death, police called it an “apparent homicide” and said that he suffered an “obvious injury.”
Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said that “a limited amount of additional detail might be presented at arraignment” on Friday.
Brad Larson previously served as the president of the Sharon Historical Society, which paid tribute to him in a Facebook post.
Sharon Police Chief Stephen Coffey said in a statement:
"Brad Larson was a well-known and much respected member of the Sharon community. The Sharon police will continue working with the District Attorney's office as the case now moves through the court system. As a department, we offer our sincere condolences to Brad Larson's family and the many residents touched by his death."
